Patient experience encompasses the range of interactions that patients have with all facets of the healthcare system.  This includes the care, communication and the respect they receive from doctors, nurses, and the entire healthcare team.

Understanding patient experience is critical in order for us to move toward patient-centered care. By looking at various aspects of patient experience, we can assess the extent to which patients are receiving care that is respectful of and responsive to individual patient preferences, needs, and values. 

Achieving certification as a Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP) demonstrates your commitment and interest in continually improving the patient experience. 

In alignment with the CPXP test structure, all courses are broken down into 4 domains including:

This 20 question multiple choice exam includes content from all domains. There is only one answer per question. The rationale is provided.
